It seeks to verify and review the backgrounds of candidates to protect the reputation of companies and strengthen their compliance levels.

A background check typically verifies that the information you provided to your recruiter during the hiring process is accurate.
It may also include public records checks, such as checks to confirm your identity or to reveal criminal history, adverse credit history, or adverse media coverage.
To find out exactly what your vetting will cover before the process begins, talk to your recruiter.

Companies request checks that cover different time periods. A check may cover a 6-year address history, a 5-year employment history, and all higher education qualifications, or it may simply cover your previous employment (if that's what your recruiter has requested). To find out the full scope of your background check (before you begin), speak to your recruiter about it.

To prepare for your verification, make sure you have all supporting documentation and required information available.
This may include: your CV, your address history, a copy of your personal identification (DNI, NIE, passport, work permit, etc.), proof of address (utility bill), educational certificates, details of previous employment, and anything else your recruiter has told you they might need to complete the process.
Please take your time to complete the information and check for errors before submitting to avoid unnecessary delays.

Once you have completed the application form, you can give your consent for GAT Group to conduct the screening. Once we have received your consent and the associated documents, we will begin the verification process and report the results to your recruiter. In Europe, this is generally within 10 to 15 business days. The duration of your background check will vary depending on your background, the countries where it is conducted, and the checks included in your recruiter's selection package.

The fastest way to pass a background check is to be honest, accurate, and complete with the information you provide.
By providing all appropriate supporting documentation and responding promptly to any requests for additional information from GAT Group, you can help make your selection process as short as possible.

If you have any questions about the status of your background check, you should contact the recruiter.
